Why is NSF/ANSI 61 Certification Important?

The IAPMO ANSI/NSF 61 certification means you can rest assured that FluidLytix’ WAVE Water Valve is safe. It will not add lead, chromium VI, nitrosamines or any other contaminates to your drinking water.

The IAPMO Group (International Association of Plumbing and Mechanical Officials) has been operating for 93 years to protect the public's health and safety. IAPMO works with government and industry to implement plumbing and mechanical systems around the world. As a member-based association, IAPMO utilized an open consensus process to develop their flagship Uniform Plumbing Code, and Uniform Mechanical Code. These codes were established through scientific research, debate and analysis.

IAPMO is a service organization providing: code development assistance, personnel certification, education, plumbing, mechanical and electro-plumbing product testing and certification. Forty-eight states require NSF/ANSI 61 certification for municipal water products.
